Studio Policies

These policies are for students registered through Gina Morgano’s private studio. Students who register through 92Y are accountable to those policies.

PAYMENT

Tuition is due the first of every month. Lessons will not continue until payment is received. 

For students not on the yearly tuition plan, all payment must be received at time of booking.   

Chase QuickPay, Apple Pay and Venmo accepted.  

Cancellations

Student Cancellations

Tuition-based students are guaranteed makeup lessons with at least 24 hours advance notice. Lessons are forfeited if canceled with less than 24 hours notice for any reason. No exceptions. There are no makeups for missed classes or for non-tuition-based lessons.

Instructor Cancellations

As a professional performer, I travel frequently and have other musical obligations. I am upfront about this and thank you for your understanding. A substitute teacher will never be used for private lessons, but may be used for group classes.

Make-up Scheduling

If students fall behind on lessons due to student or instructor absence, students may schedule make-up lessons at a mutually convenient time via the online scheduling calendar https://ginamorgano.as.me/. Should those time not work, please feel free to reach out to me at contact@ginamorgano.com to suggest alternate day/time possibilities. It is the student’s responsibility to keep track of and schedule make-up lessons. A good faith effort must be made to schedule all makeups in a timely manner or else they will be forfeited.

Punctuality

Lessons will start and end at the specified times, with a five minute grace period for instructor transition. Lessons will not be extended due to lateness. If you are running late, please let me know as soon as possible, so that I know to wait for you. Lessons are forfeited after 15 minutes with no communication.

ILLNESS

Please do not have a lesson if you are sick. The 24-hour cancellation policy still applies; however, if illness occurs in the 24 hours before your lesson, we can use the time to have an online lesson where we discuss theory, repertoire and more. If you would like to utilize this option, please let me know with enough notice to get myself someplace quiet. Should I arrive to your lesson and find that you or ANYONE in your household is extremely sick, I reserve the right to leave and your lesson will be forfeited. As a professional singer, I value my health above all and I appreciate your respect and understanding on the matter.

INCLEMENT WEATHER

Plan on having your lesson unless notified otherwise. Should you choose not to have an in-person lesson because of the weather, you may use the time for an online lesson instead. Should I cancel due to inclement weather, your lesson will be made up. 

PERMANENT SCHEDULE CHANGES

Once you choose a weekly lesson time, it is your time commitment for the duration of your tuition year. All requests to change your permanent lesson day or time must be made in writing. I will make every effort to accommodate your schedule, but there are no guarantees that your new preferred time will be available.         

LESSON CONTINUITY

By registering for tuition-based lessons at the studio, you are agreeing to be continually enrolled for at least one year. You will have first-preference on your time slot for the following year and will be automatically re-enrolled the studio, unless I receive at least 30 days advance notice from you stating otherwise.

Discontinuing Lessons

At least 30 days advance notice is required before the end of your tuition year, so that I may fill your time slot. Without written notification, it is assumed that you will remain in the studio for the next tuition year. Students are responsible for tuition for the duration of their contract whether or not they choose to attend all of their lessons. Tuition will not be prorated or refunded for withdrawals. 

DISMISSAL

I reserve the right to dismiss a student from the studio without refund for reasons including, but not limited to frequent absences, excessive cancellations, disciplinary problems, overdue tuition payments, and noncompliance with studio policies.

CHILD SAFETY

To ensure you child’s safety please arrange for supervision immediately following the lesson. I am not responsible for supervising children outside of our class/lesson time.

COMMUNICATION AND PRIVACY

Gina Morgano may contact you from time-to-time with news and updates related to the studio. I respect your privacy and will not share your personal information without your consent. You may opt-out of all emails at any time. 

RELEASE OF LIABILITY

Parents, legal guardians of minor students, and adult students fully waive and relinquish any and all claims against Gina Morgano as a result of participating in any activities associated with the studio.
